Members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Caucus in the House of Representatives on Tuesday expressed concern about some arrangement put in place for the governorship elections in Edo State.
These concerns, according to them, may not guarantee free and fair elections.
The lawmakers, led by Minority Leader, Rep. Leo Ogor, said information available to them showed that some staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) have been compromised to rig the election.
They also alleged that INEC unlawfully agreed with some security agencies to move collation centres to a police station.
They urged INEC to be an independent and unbiased umpire and ensure free and fair elections in the state.
